“St. Githa’s” Cottage

Originally built as a settlers cottage in the 1880s, this tiny building was demolished in the 1990’s, rescued, relocated and rebuilt in Bridgewater. It’s new location was part of the St Githa’s property, where many a garden wedding has been held and the cottage was to host guests and newlyweds for many years.

Today, the cottage is a permanent home with one cozy, but dark, living room, one bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. Carrie was invited to refresh the living room with new window treatments, a sofa bed, armchair and cushions. Dark green architectural features and the owners’ blue and white china collection were the obvious influences for the colour scheme.
